KENMORE TOPS OUT WESTPORT 102, EDINBURGH

Kenmore Property Group has celebrated a major milestone in the construction of Westport 102, its progressive 94,400 sq ft, Grade A office development located within Edinburgh’s Exchange District.

The Edinburgh-based international property group held a topping-out ceremony yesterday to mark the completion of the highest point on its Westport scheme. Arranged over six floors, the 94,400 sq ft scheme provides floorplates of between 9,100 sq ft and 15,210 sq ft and large roof terraces on the sixth floor offering spectacular, unrivalled views of Edinburgh Castle and the city centre. The development has basement parking for 17 cars and has been designed to achieve a Very Good BREEAM rating.

Attended by over 40 senior members of Edinburgh’s business community including MSP Sarah Boyack, the ceremony signified near completion of a building that will dramatically enhance the local area and complement the existing public realm improvement works underway in the Grassmarket. The building is due to achieve practical completion in October 2009.

Jeff Grant, Development Projects Director at Kenmore, says:
“We are proud to be delivering a project into the market that is set to make a significant contribution to the regeneration of the city, and look forward to completing the entire scheme later this year.” Jones Lang La Salle and Ryden are advising Kenmore on the development.
