With so much art and culture for such a small city, Edinburgh is the first choice for a cultural city-break for art lovers and entertainment seekers.

Edinburgh is Europe's festival capital. Firstly there is the world-famous Edinburgh Festival which is in fact a generic term to describe the collection of festivals which invade the city each August. These include the International Festival, the Fringe, the Film Festival, the Book Festival, the Jazz Festival, Art Festival and the Military Tattoo. Out-with August's festivities, there is a Science Festival in April, a Children's Festival at the summer, the intercultural Mela in September and the winter sees the four week Edinburgh's Christmas festival that culminates in the world famous Hogmanay celebrations.
