Housing
From modern flats to Victorian townhouses, Edinburgh offers first-class property to suit all needs and tastes
Edinburgh has led Scottish house price growth over the last decade, with an upsurge in demand for city centre living. The New Town, a World Heritage location, continues to command a premium in the market, and the city centre has seen some of the highest prices being achieved for period property. Residential values have risen and the demand for city-centre living continues, with limited stock availability. This is expected to continue as Edinburgh increases its reputation internationally, together with the influence of the presence of the Scottish Parliament.
